Every artist creates a song hoping it will tell a story, with the hope that it will become a part of your life. That song will remind you of a moment in time & stay with you forever. That song tells a story that is individualized to your own personal tale.
Today is National Compliment Day!
I think everyone should take a moment to tell someone in their lives that they’re amazing. So often people spend time cutting each other down, even in jest, so a pick me up would be nice.
With that in mind, thanks to my readers for reading. It makes me smile to think you waste valuable seconds of your life reading my blog. That’s amazing & it means a great deal to me.
To my friends, supporters, well wishers & beau, you’re in my life for a reason. I’m thankful that you play the role you do in my life. You all make me so very happy that you’re here & I hope you know how awesome you are.
To the people who don’t like me, I hope you have a good day all the same. Life’s too short to be negative!

The latest Twitter craze is “30 Things About Me”. How DOES one condense that into 140 characters? I couldn’t, but I’m long winded.
I started thinking about whether or not I could come up with 30 facts about myself that people don’t already know. I’m pretty much an open book and if someone wants to know something, they could just ask. But it still seemed like an interesting idea, so I decided to compile a list.
I was checking my Twitter feed in between housework & hair straightening & the general consensus was that 2011 totally sucked.
The holidays are over and we can all return to some semblance of sanity.
The end of the holidays means that New Year’s Eve is upon us. The time of year where we make a bunch of promises to ourselves that we never really keep, hope for a fresh start and inevitably mess it up while reflecting on the previous year.
I’ve decided to follow up on my previously protected post (which can be found by clicking HERE) in which I wondered if any of us really know what we want.
In short, no.
I did a very bad thing.
I let Drew smash my ex husband’s wedding ring with a hammer & tweeted the video.
Today is the day.
Reverend Run proclaimed today “Forgiveness Day.”
Not a bad idea. Why not take a minute & forgive your grudges? Forgive your pain & let go & go forward without any more regrets.
Grudges hurt the one holding them, not the ones being grudged against. Why let them continue to hurt you?
So, forgive & let go. Move on from the hurt & go forward.

Whether today celebrates the new year or you just want free candy, remember to be safe & have fun.
Halloween is a funny sort of day. We dress up in masks (or in some cases, next to nothing) & pretend to be someone else, while acting the most like ourselves. It’s odd that we feel that the costume protects us from all the things that freak us out during the rest of the year.
Maybe we should adopt the Halloween philosophy every day. Let loose & have fun & be goofy. If you need cat ears to do it, wear the cat ears. I can appreciate the irony of the most uptight person saying mellow out. However, I think we all need to be truer to ourselves & stop hiding our truest selves until we wear cat ears. Let’s leave the masks for the trick or treaters.
