The Long Way Home

There’s something about being away from home that makes me want to…work.

There’s something about a peaceful & tranquil setting that inspires me to write. It gives me a chance to clear my mind & write about the things that Interest me without all of the distractions that come from being at home, like school, the life, my freelancing deadlines, etc.

I guess I’m just very committed to my craft, so it’s hard to shut my mind off & do nothing except chill out. I’ll always be pursuing information & I’ll always want to touch upon it. So, when I’m distraction free, that’s when I find I’m most creative.

So, maybe I’ll never enjoy a vacation in the conventional way, but I’ll always manage to create something awesome (like my last blog). It may seem subfun, but to me, it’s the highlight of my trip, beach day, etc. That I could write a nice little piece on current events & people read it. That’s what makes me happy.
